Nicole Santora, Ed.D.

Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Human Resources

54 Main Street

Englishtown, NJ 07726

The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District's tradition of excellence in education is rooted in a strong commitment to students and their learning. The curriculum department is responsible for developing state aligned curricula, determining appropriate resources, analyzing assessment data, designing professional development opportunities, and implementing state and federal mandates and initiatives.

Supervisors in the curriculum department work collaboratively with teachers and staff members to create enriching curricula that guides instruction for all students and aligns to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Curriculum guides are always in a cycle of implementation, reflection, and revision. All curriculum guides are reviewed and approved by the Board of Education

Administrators, supervisors, teachers, and staff members utilize a variety of assessments to provide continuous feedback on student progress and the effectiveness of curricula, resources, and instruction. Our district utilizes LinkIt!, an on-line assessment system, to benchmark student progress in language arts and mathematics for grades 2-8. The district also uses the state mandated Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) for grades 3-8 in language arts and mathematics and New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJ ASK) in science for grades 4 and 8. In grade 3, we use InView, a nationally normed assessment, to measure students’ cognitive abilities.

Supervisors in the curriculum department continuously collaborate and provide professional development to teachers and staff members to assist in implementing the curricula, using data to guide instruction, and employing best practices.

Curriculum guides, updates from individual departments, and information on the PARCC can be found on this website.
